Come Together to celebrate our students, staff, and families!
Come Together for Friends of TOPS programs including: Music, K-2 Assistants, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Family Nights, Drama, Emergency Assistance, Planting the Seeds, and Writers in the Schools! All of these programs are directly funded through our fundraising efforts like the Spring Auction.
Come Together to promote the TOPS Equity Fund! You may choose to donate dollars to this separate fund supporting the vision that all Seattle public schools have the resources to provide enriching opportunities and educational support to meet the needs of their students.
Come Together to dress up, enjoy Fab Four tunes played by the TOPS orchestra, and have fun!
When: Saturday, May 21st. Doors open at 6:30. We’ll kick people out at 10pm.
Where: Enjoy the fresh air at Wisteria Hall, located at the Arboretum’s Graham Visitor Center.
How: We encourage you to reserve your free tickets ahead of time so we make sure to have plenty of appetizers and drinks. When you register online, you can choose to make a contribution to offset the cost of the event meaning more funds raised go directly to TOPS.
What: There will be both a Silent Auction and a Live Auction on May 21st. You’ll be able to bid on sport and theater tickets, restaurant certificates, one-of-kind experiences with TOPS teachers, wine tastings, cool collaborative student art pieces made by each TOPS grade, vacation rentals, and so much more!
Online Bidding (Now OPEN through May 21st): Perfect for those who can’t attend on May 21st and for relatives and friends who may live far away. Go to https://topsk82022.ggo.bid to get started if you haven't already reserved a ticket for the live event. If you have reserved a ticket to the live auction, you will be automatically registered and a link specific to you will be emailed or texted to you.
You can also give NOW online! Whether you can attend the auction or not, please take this opportunity to contribute to TOPS programs and the Equity Fund. Choose “Donate to TOPS” and/or “Donate to Equity Fund” from the menu bar to the left. Whatever you give, be it $5 or $5,000, you will be making a difference. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
What is the Equity Fund? At the auction this year you will have the opportunity to direct a percentage of your auction contributions or a flat dollar amount to the TOPS Equity Fund. In support of the TOPS social justice mission, the TOPS Equity Fund is one tool we can use to acknowledge and address the inequitable impact of parent/community fundraising in Seattle public schools. Our vision is that all schools are able to fund the enrichment activities and educational support that meet the needs of their students.
Money donated this year to the Equity Fund will be distributed 50% to Southeast Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance which represents 15 schools in District 7 focussing on collaborative fundraising, equitable allocation and community collaboration; and 50% to Lowell Elementary PTA, a neighboring school that has expressed interest in furthering a relationship with TOPS.
Together our contributions can have a big impact for our children and children across Seattle.
